Description:

Join fellow Gilda’s Club members to explore the art of upcycling. Upcycled Art, also known as “creative reuse” is the art of making something new and more valuable out of something old. As we work, we will explore the theme of transformation. Bring items from home that you would like to transform. Incorporate other items to make a one-of-a kind art piece.

Please Note:

  • Workshops are not designed to be a step by step. We will be exploring a variety of techniques and materials to give you the opportunity to create a one-of-a kind project.
  • *Fall art workshops will be held OUTDOORS on the Gilda’s Club patio through the fall season, unless weather is inclement*
  • Art materials are provided (unless otherwise noted)
  • Please bring any supplies from home you’d like to incorporate into your artwork/s
  • Please bring a sweater or jacket; also blankets are available at the clubhouse if needed

About Linn-Miller:

Molly Linn-Miller has been working as a registered art therapist for 15 years. She provided art therapy and support for both individuals and groups. She works with a variety of populations including families living with cancer, those recovering from substance abuse, adults with autism and pre-school aged children.

Molly paints large-scale murals and makes mixed-media art using fiber and other natural materials. In addition to art-making she enjoys hiking with her husband, two boys, and pup, Eddy, cooking and eating with her girlfriends and playing ultimate frisbee.
